If you are registering a partnership or proprietorship, you must provide either your SSN or EIN. This number will serve as your business tax ID in New Jersey. Sales Tax exemptions for 501(c)(3) organizations should complete Form REG-1E. Please note that 501(c)(3), out of state organizations only requiring payroll should select: “Register a non-New Jersey Business Entity with employees residing in New Jersey”.
