TIPS FOR YOUR VISIT
Please be aware that the State Park Service has many primitive restrooms that do not have running water. Remember to bring your own hand sanitizer and other supplies to disinfect commonly touched surfaces.

State Park Service Overnight Facilities Update
Beginning Monday, April 26, reservations will be accepted for select State Park Service cabins, shelters and lean-tos: Allaire State Park – Shelters – Open June 1, Bass River State Forest – Cabins – Open June 1, Bass River State Forest – Lean-tos – Open June 1, Brendan T Byrne State Forest – Shelters – April 30 , Belleplain State Forest – Shelters – Open May 28, Belleplain State Forest – Lean-tos – Open May 28, High Point State Park and New Jersey Veterans' Memorial – Family Cabins – Open June 1, Jenny Jump State Forest – Shelters – Open May 1, Parvin State Park – Cabins – Open April 30, Spruce Run Recreation Area – Shelters – Open June 1, Stokes State Forest – Lake Ocquittunk Cabins – Open June 15, Stokes State Forest – Shotwell Lean-tos – Open June 1, Swartswood State Park – Shelters – Open May 14. Please note that the Atsion Cabins (Wharton State Forest) and the Brendan T Byrne State Forest cabins remain closed due to capital improvement projects.
For the 2021 season, these facilities will be open Friday and Saturday nights only, ensuring thorough cleaning between guests. Reservations will be extended to three days over holiday weekends; Sunday May 30, July 4 and September 5.

Reservations continue to be accepted for all previously reopened site types through December 15. Please note that regularly scheduled seasonal closures will remain in place. For specific details, please contact the park or forest you are interested in visiting.
