Cancellation Policy - If you are unable to make your scheduled dates, you can make a change to your reservation for a $5.00 fee. Changes must be made prior to your check in date and time.
If you are unable to reschedule, the cancellation policy for campsite (tents, trailers, primitive campsite, group campsites, wilderness campsite) is: $40 NJ Resident/$50 Out of State Resident or a two night use fee (whichever is less) and any transaction fee paid will be deducted from refund due.
The cancellation policy for all other overnight facilities (cabins, group cabins, shelters, and lean-to) depends on when the cancellation is made. If you cancel seven days or less prior to your check-in date, one night use fee and any transaction fee will be deducted from refund due. If you cancel eight days or more prior to your check-in date, only the transaction fee paid will be deducted from refund due.
Alcoholic Beverages and Smoking are NOT permitted in any New Jersey State Park Service Area.
Pets are ONLY permitted in specified campsites which are located in the Shotwell camping area.
Black bears are present in New Jersey. During your stay, all coolers, food and anything with a scent must be kept in the closed trunk of your vehicle at all times. Garbage should be promptly removed from your campsite and put in the appropriate trash receptacle.
Minimum Age - Camping facilities must be reserved by someone at least 18 year old, who shall occupy and be responsible for the facility during the rental period.
Firewood is not provided at the campsites, cabins or lean-tos but can be purchased at the park office during business hours.
Quiet hours are observed from 10:00pm to 6:00am.
Visitors are allowed at all camping facilities between the hours of 8am to 8pm.
Check-in is mandatory at the forest office.
CAMPSITES Tent sites must be reserved for a minimum of 2 nights. The maximum length of stay for a campsite is 14 consecutive nights. Check-in is 12:00pm (noon) and check-out is 12:00pm (noon). LEAN-TOS Lean-to sites must be reserved for a minimum of 2 nights. The maximum length of stay for a lean-to is 14 consecutive nights. Check-in is 2:00pm and check-out is 11:00am. Tents are NOT permitted at the Cabin or Lean-to sites. GROUP CAMPSITES Group campsites may be reserved for a minimum of 1 night. The maximum length of stay is 14 consecutive nights. Check-in is 12:00pm (noon) and check-out is 12:00pm (noon). Horseshoe pits are now located in all Haskins group sites and Stony Lake day use area. Please bring your own horseshoes and stake. CABINS Cabins are a 2 night minimum rental before Memorial Day weekend and after Labor Day. Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day Cabins are a 7 night minimum rental. The maximum length of stay is 14 consecutive nights. Check-in is 3:00pm and check-out is 11:00am. Tents are NOT permitted at the Cabin or Lean-to sites.
If you arrive after the Forest Office is closed, pick up your key outside, behind the Forest Office by the back door. Cabins contain a wood stove (with the exception of Cabin 7 which as a fireplace), refrigerator, a cooking stove and oven, and indoor bathroom. You will need to bring all of your sheets, towels and cooking utensils. The cabin does not have any small appliances like a coffee pot, toaster or microwave. The 8 person Cabins, 7 & 12, have a shower in the bathroom. Cabin 13 is a 12 person with 2 separate bedrooms and 2 bathrooms with showers. For all other cabins there is a shower building within walking distance. Please note that check-in for cabins is 3:00pm, there is no early check-in.
There is a one week minimum to reserve family cabins starting the last full week of June until Labor Day.
During the one week minimum the rental period is as follows:
Cabins 1,2,3 Friday-Friday
Cabins 4,5,6 Saturday-Saturday
Cabins 7,8,9 Sunday-Sunday
Cabins 10,11,12 Monday-Monday

There are flush toilets and a shower facility within walking distance to all group sites. Please note the following group site capacities. If you have more vehicles than the maximum permitted you must pay an additional $5 per vehicle per night.
Haskins A-F: 30 people, 10 vehicles
Haskins G: 65 people, 22 vehicles
Haskins H: 10 people, 4 vehicles
Haskins I: 45 people, 15 vehicles
Ashroe Z: 40 people, 14 vehicles (vehicles must park in designated areas only and are not permitted on the site)

If you arrive after the Forest Office is closed, pick up your key outside, behind the Forest Office by the back door. Lean-tos contain a wood stove for heat and are within walking distance to the restrooms. The Lean-tos have 3 windows that open and close and have screens.
Pets will be allowed in designated Pet Friendly campsites only located in the Shotwell camping area. Two pets are allowed per campsite. A rabies certificate need to be given upon check in, unless uploaded while making your reservation.
